2013-10-23 - Grey College Matric Farewell - Irini & Antonio

It's so special when two friends from two different cities, get together for a special evening - the annual Grey College in Bloemfontein's matric farewell.

Irini & Antonio know each other from their sporting activities when they were younger.  WoW!!! Irini looked spectacular.  I love this gown designed by Marzanne Preez.

Who would have known that I would photograph the daughter of a dear school friend of mine.  What an awesome privilege.

When your girl dresses up for the "ball" that marks the beginning of her grown up life, we mothers stand in awe of our babies who are not so little any more.  Suddenly we realise the gravity of our nest about to be a little emptier than usual.

These young ladies braved one of the worst dust storms Bloemfontein had ever seen for these photos. A last minute change in venue was necessary.... and I can't thank the kindest friends enough at the Tuscan Rose Hotel, for their hospitality in allowing us to shoot there.  (Go check our this gorgeous gem at http://www.tuscanrose.co.za)

I spent a wonderful morning with Karen, and her grace and smile made my job so easy.  I was so exited when she told me she wanted some ballet photographs.... something I've wanted to do for a long time.

So we did two shoots in one, at the beautiful Jakkalsdraai Venue here in Bloemfontien.

Karen, you are beautiful inside and out. It was such an honour to photograph you.
